Synopsis: After an epiphany on a rainy bus ride one afternoon Gretchen realised she wasn’t as happy as she could be with her current life. This sparked the idea to start her “Happiness Project” a year long project in which she tackles some grueling goals and some of those ick personality slip ups we all have.
I loved the originality of the concept (I’ve actually never heard of any sort of self-improvement project like this).
I found that as far as “self-help” helps books go this one made a real effort to focus on numerous little things that help to make life happier.
I liked the inclusion of a further reading list at the end with books she spoke about throughout her project.
Some months of her project seemed to drag on a little longer than I would have hoped, however every individual who reads this would find certain months more interesting than others.
Although it did sort of motivate me to reflect on my own happiness, it’s probably not a book I would read again/I wouldn’t read it again for a few years.
